Caryatid room (françois i wing, louvre palace, paris), a reception room for the kings of france. A renaissance manifesto, it is the work of the catholic architect pierre lescot and the protestant sculptor jean goujon who drew inspiration from the caryatids of the erechtheion to create the musicians' gallery in 1550.
