Kazan cap. A gold filigree crown from the regalia of the russian tsars — the royal caps, kept in the armory chamber of the moscow kremlin. This crown was made for the first russian tsar ivan vasilyevich immediately after the conquest and annexation of the kazan khanate to the muscovite state (1552) and ivan's adoption of the title of tsar of kazan.
