The schooners colonia (nathanael greene herreshoff design and build, 1893), amorita (archibald cary smith design, built in 1895 at the harlan & hollingsworth shipyard, de) and emerald (henry c. Wintringham design, built in 1893 at the samuel l moore sons shipyard, elizabethport). Pictured here racing for the larchmont cup, which the colonia won as the other two schooners were unable to complete the race in time due to lack of wind. New york times - colonia won the cup.
