Nicholas gilman, exeter, new hampshire. Gilman was an american revolutionary patriot and framer as well as signer of the constitution of the united states. Artist john ramage (c. 1748–1802) was born in ireland and came to boston, mass. , before 1775. He served in a loyalist regiment, but later painted many of the most important patriots of the revolutionary era, including george and martha washington. Date: circa 1790. Medium: miniature.
