The graphic shows the course of the naval battle on may 30/31, 1564 in the baltic sea between the islands of öland and gotland during the three crowns war. The right half of the picture shows the failed peace negotiations in the city of rostock (rostochivm). The left half of the picture shows the capture of the swedish flagship mars (also known as makalös or jutehattaren) by the lübeck flagship "der engel" as well as other ships of the danish-lübeck fleet. The naval battle ended with the sinking of the mars and the capture of the swedish commander admiral jakob bagge and his deputy arvid trolle. Date: zwischen 1535 und 1590, wahrscheinlich 1589.
