Lund cathedral and lilla torg. Etching from 1782. On the far left, the so-called "härbärget" which was demolished in connection with the construction of the new university building in the 1870s. The small buildings around the cathedral have now disappeared. On the far left is the cathedral's spray house, built in 1775 and demolished in 1836; to the right of this is the town's weigh house built in the 1770s and demolished in 1838; south of this the so-called food stalls. Below these, in the middle of the west facade of the cathedral, was the medieval court school, rebuilt in 1763 and given to the university to house academy offices, music hall, auction chamber and a chemical laboratory and therefore called "chemicum"; the house was demolished in 1832. Date: 1804.
