A rectangular bronze plaque, measuring 88x57 cm, is placed on the school's façade, facing ogrodowa street. Centrally above the plaque is an image of a polish military eagle, also made of bronze. Inscription on the board: in this building, from september 16 to 21, 1939, the wehrmacht imprisoned about 1,000 soldiers and civilians in the transition camp/ arrested on the streets of the city. Before/ the day we leaved białystok, the germany/ organized a farce of a military court/ and murdered 9 people. Then they died:/ salomon epsztejn, antoni gabrel,/ stefan korolewski, józef wiszniewski,/ stanisław wiśniewski, izrael zajdwerger,/ franciszek pietraszkiewicz and scott wacław siedlecki. A prisoner of unknown name was also killed with battles/ on the 50th anniversary of september/ the cpn crew in białystok.
