I’m still doing very well here! the food is great and there’s enough of it! but now i’m eagerly waiting for mail from home! well, now it will go quicker! i don’t know how long i’ll be staying here! if i’m lucky, i’ll end up in a hospital at home! hopefully in our beloved “wean” [vienna???]! i also met a few “spetzl” from vienna here. We can chat in our “kucheldeutsch”, as mama says. Every one of you would like to see old steffel [st. Stephen’s cathedral] again! yes, the time will come! Date: 27 December 1941.
