Algirdas savickis (10 september 1917 in copenhagen – 1 october 1943) was a lithuanian painter, the eldest son of the lithuanian diplomat and writer jurgis savickis (1890–1952) and ida trakiner-savickienė (1894–1944), a md whose (jewish) family was settled in saint petersburg where she owned a glass factory. Algirdas savickis was shot in the ghetto of kaunas (kowno/kaunen) when he tried to protect his young wife. Date: circa 1938.
