Giulielma lister (1860-1949), an english botanist and mycologist. The photographer is unknown. Note: the photograph can be dated by the age of the sitter, since we know when she was born, and we can estimate her approximate age in the photograph. Her skin is very smooth and tight, therefore she cannot be more than 50 years old. She is probably about 40 years old, since, to our eyes, british victorian and edwardian women with no makeup and scraped-back hair can look ten years older than they really are in photographs. By 1926 she would be 66 years old, and she is certainly not as old as that in the photo. Therefore the image is in the public domain. Full research has been carried out in books, magazines, archives, postcard collections and online collections, and no evidence has been found that there has been any claim to copyright of this image. Date: before 1926.
