iconographic description:
allusion to la fontaine's fable "the frogs who ask for a king". Frogs worship the head of a log king (louis-philippe) directly sent by god who can be seen at the top of the composition. On this head sits casimir périer in the appearance of a frog, acclaimed by other amphibians. Next, some hold a phrygian cap at the end of a plant stem. From top to left, a bird (pelican?) watches the scene. Person / character represented:
