Smoke from gunshots. Historical commentary: the bnf's copy of tafereelen van de staatsomwenteling in frankrijk (1794-1807) is published in amsterdam, j. Allart, 1795-1801, 2 vols. In-8º, in the 25 deliveries there are 25 frontispieces by vinkeles and vrydag, 77 figures by bulthuis, vinkeles and vrydag and 79 portraits by claessens and portman. According to desmoulins, the salvo of rifles caused some damage in the nave. The soldiers who carried the coffin belonged to the battalion commanded by mirabeau. The latter is then taken to the pantheon where he is placed alongside descartes, cf. De vinck nº1914.
