Monumento Colón tranvías, circa 1930

Post card where the statue of sailor christopher columbus (on the front) and the "plaza colón" can be appreciated. The monument was a gift from the italian community of argentina in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the may revolution. The statue was sculpted in carrara marble by italian sculptor arnaldo zocchi (1862–1940) and inaugurated in 1921. Date: circa 1930.
