The spelling given is based on waud's original note for the name of the work:
i kept the restoration light; only removing the most obvious damage, and adjusting the colours slightly. I'm pretty sure, though, that the white he used stained brown with age; but i thought that might be a step too far, so refrained. Paper colour is educated guesswork - the library of congress scans of waud's work (this one is available at [link] ) vary between greenish grey and blueish grey, and none of them have a colour box, so i took an educated guess. Originally produced for my deviantart account, where you can get prints. The restoration was fairly light, so, while attribution to me is very very strongly encouraged, i won't push any legal requirement for it. Date: December 1864.
