The scheffel monument, erected in 1929 on the slope of the staffelberg, with the fourth verse of his franconian song (1859). The monument is a large reef dolomite boulder that does not have its original location in the lower part of the mountain with its marl limestone. Rather, it comes from the reef step at the summit of the staffelberg. The rock broke away from the summit rock due to frost, fell and rolled down to its current location.
