On wednesday the 22nd [october 1941] a bus and a locomotive on breitenfurterstrasse. Many dead! waiter wagner's jola [???] is dead! what a pity about the beautiful, brave girl. Drove to the office in atzgersdorf after 6 a. M. Now, my sweetheart, may god continue to protect you and that you return home healthy. If you have any wishes, let me know immediately! a thousand kisses over and over again, your mum dear hansl! first of all, greetings. We are healthy so far and hope the same for you. You poor things have to go through in this filthy desert. If only it were all over and you wanted to come, that would be the best christmas present for us.
