The judgement of paris; paris sits at left and holds the golden apple looking towards the three semi-nude goddesses standing before him; mercury stands in a relaxed pose with his arm resting between the branch of a tree and idly dangling a caduceus; the goddesses stand together at right assisted by a number of putti; at upper right, amongst the branches of a tree three satyrs secretly observe the proceedings, envy at upper centre; coat of arms in lower margin; after peter paul rubens. 1750 etching finished with engraving.
