Grüningen (today markgröningen) with complete town fortifications before their demolition. Panorama from the schlüsselburg rudera in the west to the asperg in the east (view from south-southwest, by ku keller after a preliminary sketch from 1797/98) caption above: a: “schlißelburg ruedra” (schleißelburg ruins) and “unterriexinger todten kirch” (church of our lady), b: the town, c: “fortress and village of asperg”. Legend below: 1: “path to unterriexingen”, 2: “obern thor (upper gate) at the oberamtei” (castle), 3: “town hall”, 4: “town church” (st. Bartholomew’s church), 5: “hospital church” (church of the holy spirit hospital still completely intact), 6: “asperger thor” (easter gate still intact), 7: “schwieberdinger thor” (esslinger gate), 8: “enzweihinger thor” (lower gate), 9: brickworks, 10: “road to enzweihingen” (vaihinger street), 11: “field path to the rheinstraßäcker” (schäferweg), 12: “glemms river” (glems), 13: “town mill” (bruck mill).
