To be executed in gilt bronze, on black marble base; silvered metal dial. The muse, at her harp, seated on a cushion on a plinth seat containing the clock, a laurel wreath to one side, the frieze with laurel garlanded lyres between flaming baluster-form altars. Terpsichore, the muse of dancing and song, has a harp as one of her attributes and bestows a laurel wreath on the victor. Date: circa 1820..
