Iii. 43. My dear mama! greetings and kisses from the bottom of my heart, you have already received my airmail letter, have you? i hope you were not too shocked and were not afraid. I am already feeling perfectly well again! now i had to interrupt my writing; i had a fresh bandage put on. The wound hardly hurts at all anymore. I will be spending a long time here all day and have little to read. There is enough activity here, wounded people come and go all day long. Date: 18 March 1943.
