Portrait of william warburton, bust-length, in an oval lettered 'vir magnus acer memorabilis' with laurel leaves and ribbons above, slightly turned to the right, dressed in an academic gown with bands at his neck and with a powdered periwig on his head, a mitre, crosier and books on the pedestal with the title below, his arms on either side, illustration to his 'works' (1788) engraving.
