Siege of eger castle, 1552, painting by béla vízkelety (1825–1864) on a postcard. A lithograph depicting the siege of eger made by béla vízkelety and franz kollarz according to the plans of imre vahot. It is an element of a series, the first historical composition of which was published by imre vahot as the magazine napkelet in 1857. The triumphal celebration of the hunyadi house is followed every year by a historical composition: in 1858 mátyás the just, in 1859 the entry of istván báthory, and finally in 1860 the heroic defense of eger castle. Only afterwards did vahot complete a historical cycle from the stone drawings, when in 1860 he published the texts related to the depictions of béla vizkelety in book form under the title "hungarian historical picture gallery". Date: cc. 1890.
