St. Thomas's Church, Broadway and Houston Street, Manhattan, Josiah R. Brady, 20 June 1829

Caption reads: "st. Thomas' church, broadway. Drawn and engraved for the new-york mirror, 1829". The engraving accompanies an article on page 393. The church's cornerstone was laid on 1824-07-27, and the completed church was consecrated on 1826-02-23. At left is the parsonage house on mercer and houston streets, built in 1826. This is a retouched picture, which means that it has been digitally altered from its original version. Modifications: color- and light-adjusted, and blemishes removed. Date: 20 June 1829.
