From the current carl johans gade and drammensveien. The picture, of flintoe around 1826, was taken from mrs peckel's farm in pilestrædet. The green field then reached right to the drammensveien, which can be seen in the background. Directly on the other side of vien klingenberg. A house to the right of pilestrædet, surrounded by a garden, is russeløkken, where major j. Dietrichson lived at the time (now studenterlunden). The small octagonal garden house on the left also belonged to the field, "engen", to assessor brochmann's eiendom. The house with the garden was between rosenkrantzgaden and christian den 4des gade.
