Castle wanted by catherine de médicis, architects delorme (1564-70), bullant (1570-72), j. Androuet du cerceau. The drawing shows the completed state of the centrale (dome and lanterns by j. A. Du cerceau) and bullant pavilions. Delorme garden planted in 1564-1578.
