Image side of this postcard by ludwig hemmer, which is not consecutively numbered as an event card of a singular occurrence. The photo, subtitled "unveiling of the princess monument on july 19, 1910 in hanover," shows the german emperor wilhelm ii standing in front of several flags with the imperial eagle under a canopy covered with a crown, talking to a white-haired man without a hat, while the bystanders are mostly dressed in civilian clothes: dozens of men in black tailcoats and top hats, contrasting and standing somewhat apart, women dressed in white, often with large, flower-decorated hats. While in the background on the right in front of the trees of the eilenriede the monument, later known as the queen's monument, which was donated by the emperor and just unveiled, towers up, in the foreground on the left at the corner of hohenzollernstrasse and yorkstrasse, the emperor's open car with the waiting chauffeur can be seen, behind which is a smaller, less luxurious car. Date: 19 July 1910.
