German print color of the island of st. Eustatius. Text in french and german. The shape of the vessels suggests the resumption of an older image, probably from the late seventeenth century. As a peep show card it shows the header in mirror writing: the island of st. Eustatius taken by the english fleet in february 1781. The island was pillaged by the troops of george rodney.
