Field post letters from hans koch, vienna, world war ii, eastern front, 1922-1945 previous letter (1944-06-05) letter 255 (1944-06-12) next letter (1944-06-15) card - front card - back text [yesterday i was busy writing a] card. Today i said goodbye to my comrades; it wasn't easy because we had gotten very used to each other. Everyone was envious of me because they are now anxiously awaiting deployment to the front. By chance my time at home was extended. How happy we can be about that. My mail is being forwarded to me from blkg. I'm really looking forward to the first mail here. So i've got a great time ahead of me because the best time a soldier can have is time in the hospital. So don't worry, mum, just write to me very soon. Greetings and kisses from the heart, your hansl. Abs: h. Koch res. Lazr. 19. Quedlinburg dippe stift zim. 30 anna-von-dippe-stift. Date: 12 June 1944.
