Josef františek kafka (* june 16, 1895, prague - july 9, 1943, berlin-plötzensee) was a printer, lithographer and photographer (owner and operator of a photographic studio in prague-nusle) who participated in domestic anti-german resistance activities as a member of military illegal organization "defense of the nation" in the group that (in the years 1939 to 1940) ensured the illegal passage of czechoslovak pilots across the borders of the protectorate of bohemia and moravia to slovakia and hungary.
