Monument of peter paul rubens, surmounted by his whole-length statue, standing to front, with head turned to look to right, his right arm extended; base flanked by two seated angels, their feet resting on books, the one at left holding palette and paint brush, the other drawing with compasses; coat of arms at centre front; frontispiece in ernest buschmann's book 'pierre paul rubens' (antwerp, 1840), with 22 numbered pages and letterpress text in french, half-bound in purple cloth-covered boards and maroon leather, simple gold border, and some deroration on the spine, lettered with author, title and publication details. 1840 etching and engraving.
