(probably) inventory of the estate of herman becker, amsterdam, 19 october 1678, fol. 285v: 'in de sal naest het voorhuijs: een hercules van mr. Corn[elis] van haarlem'. Potschien, berlin, circa 1925, and by descent. Confiscated by the east german government in december 1985. Transferred to the bode museum, 1986. Gemäldegalerie, berlin, 1998-2006. Bode-museum, berlin, 2006-2008. Restituted to the present owner, 2008. Date: between 1562 and 1638.
