Imaginary portrait of king alfonso vi of león (1047-1109). He was the son of king fernando i of león and queen sancha of león. He conquered the city of toledo in the year 1085, although he was defeated by the muslims in the battles of sagrajas and uclés, which were defeats for the leonese and castilian troops, with the heir of alfonso vi, the infante sancho alfonsez, dying in the first of them.
