Prince of wales's island in - situ, by capt. Robert smith made by colonel robert smith around the time he was superintending engineer and executive officer of penang in 1814–15 and 1817–19, at the time when the british organised a colony at singapore. This painting is one of ten views made by smith, who commissioned prints after them from william daniell in 1821.
