Wood engraving illustration for the poem "the minstrel's curse" ("des sänger's fluch") by ludwig uhland. Depicts two minstrels who have been singing in a king's court; the crowd of knights threw wreaths to them, but the hard-hearted king threw a weapon that pierced the younger minstrel fatally.
