The fisherman is going to help ib abelsøn and svend poulsen, gøngehøvdingen, over the ice in køge bugt to avoid the swedish troops. The fisherman has talked at the two other are were disguised noblemen and ib abelsøn goes on with, promising the fisherman a new boat. But the fisherman becomes sceptic and wants to shake hands with ib abelsøn on it. The fisherman then points out that the hard hand of ib abelsøn proves that he is no nobleman.
