Portrait of a girl or young immaculate conception, oil on canvas, 57. 4 x 44 cm. Private collection. Unpublished until its presentation in april 2017 at the abalarte auction house in madrid, the similarities stand out with the immaculate conception in the national gallery in london and, to a lesser extent, with a second inmaculada sold in paris in june 1990, with the latter oscillating attribution between the young velázquez and alonso cano. The x-rays allow us to see a border of luminous points or stars around the head, as in the aforementioned inmaculadas, and a pearl-shaped earring that was hidden in some restoration. Date: between circa 1617 and circa 1619.
