Details of decoration of the 'zeven provincien' the left hand section of the drawing depicts part of the starboard quarter-gallery of the 'zeven provincien' (built 1665) – a lion surmounting crossed anchors of the arms of the admiralty of the maas between two slingerlijsts (the mouldings across the stern of a dutch ship below the tafferel and above the upper counter). On the right is a drawing, perhaps of arms and trophies referred to by the inscription beneath tusse d tarme krijs wapens int hangt / als fistonne (? between the female figures, trophies hanging festooned. The drawing is also inscribed in the upper left corner 'd 7 provensie'. Details of decoration of the 'zeven provincien'. Date: circa 1686. Dimensions: Sheet: 121 x 196 mm; Mount: 557 mm x 406 mm.
