Bust to the left against a blue, originally green background. Emperor maximilian i wears a red silk cap with a wide shoulder collar over his high-necked dark doublet, and on his head he wears a black beret with a medal on which the virgin mary and child are depicted in half length. In his hands he holds a pomegranate. On the left is the coat of arms and collar of the order of the golden fleece. - on the left is the coat of arms: double-headed eagle with habsburg shield, surrounded by the collar of the order of the golden fleece, crowned by the imperial crown.
