She was a willful, domineering person, but enjoyed great success in society. Such a model was the best fit for creating a secular ceremonial portrait. The portrait of e. A. Krasilshchikova is one of serov's largest commissioned works. The format and the very position of the model resemble the famous portraits of m. A. Morozov, f. I. Shalyapin, m. N. Ermolova.
