Scene from the kabuki play kaidan sumidagawa at the ichimura theatrein the sixth month of kaei 1 (1848), with the actors fujikawa kayu as o-kumi of eiraku-ya, ichikawa danjuro viii as yoshida gunsuke, and ichikawa kodanji iv as hokai-bo struggling with nakayama bungoro as the clerk chokuro.
