Boat on an autumn river. Paper, 79x36cm. The inscription is a long dissertation on political philosophy, put into the mouth of a certain jingzhuang who may be su renshan himself. The small inscription in the lower right corner specifies that this work is copied from the painting boat on an autumn river, by my friend jingzhuang. Signed and seals: a: rectangular white (single occurrence); b: red (in a double circle). Original composition: confrontation, in two symmetrical halves, of an elliptical and uncluttered painting with a dense and tight calligraphy. Date: between 1814 and 1849.
