Auerbach's court in leipzig around 1780. Old coloured copperplate engraving (peep box - therefore reversed!) 29. 1 × 40. 3 cm plate edge. Depicted is the naschmarkt, which, when there was no leipzig fair, had its place in auerbach's court. Engraved by johann baptist bergmüller (1724 - 1785; thieme-becker vol. 3, p. 411) after a drawing by johann august rosmäßler (1752-1783; thieme-becker vol. 29, p. 77). Date: 1778. Dimensions: height: 29.1 cm (11.4 in); width: 40.3 cm (15.8 in). Medium: copper engraving print.
