'roma' - major-general james pattison cockburn. Pen, brush and ink frontispiece, after turner's liber sudiorum frontispiece. Circa 1820. Signed and inscribed: ‘this volume of roman drawings is presented to eliza by her affectionate father jas. P cockburn’. Inscribed beneath the mount with six verses of byron’s ‘childe harold’, from ‘oh rome! my country! city of the soul…’ 
5x7 inches. Offered for sale by abbott and holder in august 2019. Date: circa 1820.
