Sancho II de Castilla, Eusebi Valldeperes, 1851

Imaginary portrait of king sancho ii of castile (c. 1038-1072). He was the son of king fernando i of león and queen sancha of león. He managed to reunify the inheritance of his father, ferdinand i, although he died shortly after, in 1072, while besieging the city of zamora, which belonged to his sister, the infanta urraca de zamora.
