Standing: bishop pavlin (kroshechkin) of kaluga, archbishop pitirim (krylov) of dmitrov, archbishop pavel (galkovsky) of ivanovo-voznesensk, bishop daniil (troitsky) of bryansk, bishop peter (sokolov) of stalingrad. Archbishops alexy, anatoly, pavel and konstantin were elevated to the rank of metropolitan on october 21, 1932, in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the existence of the temporary patriarchal holy synod.
