Porte Saint-Martin XVIII randlos, Jean-Baptiste Lallemand, circa 1790

The first théâtre de la porte saint-martin (built 1783) on the boulevard saint-martin in paris. The building was destroyed by fire in 1871 and replaced with a new theatre in 1873. This watercolor is by jean-baptiste lallemand, from 1790. On the left of the theater one can see the porte saint-martin, and a bit further on the porte saint-denis. Date: circa 1790.
