Carel lodewijk dake (jr. )an indie mooi painter, dutch nationality. Born in schaerbeek (belgium), april 4, 1886. He began studying painting under his own father, the artist c. L. Dake. He is a student of e. Pieters, a. M. Gorter and h. M. Krabbe in laren (netherlands). Came to indonesia in 1912, lived and worked in java, bali and sumatra. He has participated in many exhibitions in java. Is a painter, graphic artist, watercolor painter, and landscape drawer with impressionistic style. In 1915 he worked on three large dioramas depicting indonesia for the world fair in san francisco, united states. In his painting, the artist makes a signature 'c. Dake jr. 'on his works.
