Louis-Etienne Jan, Benjamin Samuel Bolomey, circa 1800

Portrait of louis-etienne jan, born july 21, 1771 in châtillens and died july 31, 1840 in lausanne, notary, receiver, judge and swiss political figure. He is notably a deputy in the grand council of vaud, a member of the small council and then a state councilor of vaud. Drawing with watercolor and pastel highlights by benjamin bolomey, circa 1800 (cantonal and university library lausanne, vaud iconographic collection; photograph claude bornand). The green and yellow scarf was the attribute of the magistrates of the canton of lake geneva. Date: circa 1800.
