Large circular, concave plate, molded with foot ring. Reverse plain glazed. Obverse painted with continuous foliate border. Within border painted in polychrome underglaze pigments: a nude child and cat within a landscape, with trees and a potted cherry tree in bloom against a blue sky. Date: 1871. Dimensions: H x diam.: 4 x 39 cm (1 9/16 x 15 3/8 in.). Medium: glazed earthenware. Collection: Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Platter, 1871 (CH 18800997-2)
