Portrait of ferdinand-philippe d'orléans (1810-1842), 'than duc de chartres', eldest son of the futur french king louis-philippe. Painted in 1817, when louis-philippe and his family lived in twickenham, in a villa by the thames, that was called ever since the orléans house. The french painter, adèle tornézy-varillat ('madame varillat) lived in london and exhibited at the royal academy between 1816 and 1820. Exhibited
